The AirRob robot works in our warehouse alongside its assistants.
Watch this short video to see how AirRob works in everyday use.
At our warehouse in Ostrava, we have a “colleague” from Sluno—the AirRob robot. This modern helper can pick boxes of goods even in narrow aisles just 85 cm wide and at heights of up to 8 meters. Its assistant transport robots then handle the movement of the picked goods.
Thanks to this technology, we make the most of our warehouse space while relieving our employees of physically demanding work. “We can already see that the system is meeting expectations and has the potential to make warehouse work easier for people in the future. At the same time, warehouse capacity has its limits, and it’s not always easy to secure enough staff for operations. That’s another reason we’re exploring technologies like this. AirRob is one way to respond to these challenges and keep operations stable,” says Pavel Křížek, Logistics Director at Geis CZ.
AirRob was deployed in Ostrava as part of the first European pilot project of its kind, which is why its implementation required more individual configuration directly on-site. However, we were aided by the strong software infrastructure of the supplier—Sluno—thanks to which the integration with our WMS went smoothly and without major complications.
